Hamas is lobbing rockets, 80 to 90 a day before the Israeli invasion of Gaza, now less because of the damage inflicted by Israel.
There is no excuse for Hamas bombing Israel; Israel believes the bombing is a result of Iranian demands upon Hamas.
Terror states must be harnessed. Hopefully Israel will rid Gaza of the Hamas fanatics quickly with a minimum of innocent lives lost. It is good to hear that Israel is encouraging and allowing medical supplies into Gaza.
Cathy and Bob Johnson are at it again. They are in Tabor City, NC setting up a campground so that their immediate family can celebrate Thanksgiving together, dressed as Pilgrims and Indians and cooking over fires. And they say it will taste great.
One Fried one Roasted Please

The family event will take place at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Campground in Tabor City, NC.TaborCity is about 30 minutes north and west of Myrtle Beach, S.C. in a mostly agricultural area. There are lots of Cotton Fields and right now, winter wheat.
So keep watching for the Video’s.It will be an exciting event, one that you may wish to re-enact next year.
Two turkeys are planned. One deep fried and one roasted. All the fixings will cook on the fires.Someone in the family came up with this idea last year and the family decided to go for it.
On the radio I listened to an analyst describe how he thought the world would react if we closed Guantanamo. He thought the world would applaud the closing as more than a symbolic change in America’s policy towards treatment of prisoners. If we indeed return to our avowal of not torturing prisoners, then I think it’s a good idea.
I’ve not understood why we continue to send used cars to Cuba.We can use the car customers now and I think the airfare to the Cuban Beaches would be less than others. And I have a couple of Guitars I’d like to get to a more appreciative owner. So let’s get real with Cuba.Viva Las Cubanas!
I don’t think he could have done any better, and I can’t remember any other President-elect holding conferences so early.
It is refreshing to have a President who takes all questions, makes it clear when he is going to skip a response and has some humor.
My wife trains intensely our Standard Schnauzer, Ruby.So we have a special interest in the dog.We too had to have a hypo allergenic dog.Ruby is it.
Clearly President Elect Obama is surrounded by experts. And Ram Emanuel looked intense and hooked in.He will take good care of the President Elect.
Obama made it clear that he is not president until January 20, 2009, but he underlined the importance of the getting a stimulus package into law as soon as possible so let us hope that congress will come back soon and get going. They must cancel vacations and get going.
We can’t wait until Obama’s inauguration and to listen to again with pleasure to hail-to-the-chief
Senator John McCain offered graciously his congratulations to President Elect Barack Obama , and behaving hororably and with good will and a spirit of cooperation he promised to help mend the wounds created in the campaign. He acted at exactly the right time and it is clear from President Elect Obama acceptance speech that he will return in kind Senator McCain’s gesture and bring the opposition to the table of reconciliation.
This is the best thing John McCain has done in his life.It is a great moment for him and the country. If he leads the opposition toward reconciliation then we will move indeed quickly to quench the thirst for change and improvement of the conditions We The People created.
This is wonderful. Tomorrow, with more energy than I have at the moment, I plan to take down all of the posts about Senator John McCain and try to begin the healing process. I’m sure Senator Obama will do the same. Let us open our arms to the 50,000,000 or more Americans who voted for Senator John McCain and try hard to bring our country together.
Both my wife Cathy and I extend to you and your family condolences. If we could take on only a fraction of your grief, we would. It is clear from all your published work that you loved her dearly.
Prediction is Difficult especially when you talk about the future: Yogi Berra, sometime in the past.
ABC and George Stephanopoulos gang all predict a big win for Barack Obama, and it worries me because in addition to Yogi’s headline today, he said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over”, and isn’t that so true.So let’s go out and vote.
George Will thinks it was the Palin appointment and the economy that helped Barack Obama.Donna Brazille thinks it is the organization, his message, his inspiration and his positive attitude; I certainly agree.
NBC and Tom Brokaw had on John Kerry, and I perish every time he comes on.He is a great Senator and clearly a person the shows can get to come on, but he is a terrible spokesman for the party. He is a smart guy, but his vocabulary stinks. He must think he has to impress someone.
The republican on NBC was the TV actor turned politician turned presidential candidate and I can’t remember his name right now.But he too is so slow and deliberate and looks so serious that I can not fail to think that he thinks a great deal of himself. Not I.
So I turned NBC off and jumped back to ABC.Too bad the funnies were over, so I turned to PBS, but that was a baking show.So here I am.
God I hope these predictions are sound. They are about the future, and Yogi warned it is difficult to predict. So I’ll keep my fingers crossed and give another donation to see if I can get selected to join the party in Chicago following the Obama basketball game.
